Basicly he is saying that they are duel purpose (show/performance) He obviously has little or no experiance with performance pigeons , he is just there to take peoples money.

What I will tell you is that if you are interested in his birds then go ahead and get yourself some of them. More than likely you will not be happy with them if you are looking for performance based birds. If you want pretty birds then you may be happy with them. Now with that being said I think that if you are interested in getting some nice rollers then take a look at the NBRC auction that is going on at this time and also The owner of this site Tony and his Ruby rollers. I would also encourage you to get out and look at some of the fliers in your area. Pretty birds make just as many guys happy as true hard spinners do. It just depends on what you are looking for. Just dont expect to get yourself some barn burning rollers from a site that is based around the colors of the birds. JMHO. JOE, here we go again colour-roll-performance i think you are getting a bit confused, who says pretty birds dont roll ??who says all coloured birds are crosses, dont tar every-one with the same brush lol,i have eye catching birds here but i can tell you they roll,i am not a competition flyer so some of my birds would not measure up to some of the top flyers but other brs i have here can really drop when fit ,but i keep birds that are pleasant to the eye wheres the wrong in that ?,i have visited a few comp flyers over the years and the birds i have with a bit of work put into them would compete admirably if we had competition in my area to go for but we have not so i fly and breed for pleasure, you have to stay focused on what you want out of the hobby i have had rollers since i was a kid (40 years) i try and encourage new people to come in to the hobby when ever i can even giving away birds to start them off,but if new people read some of the posts in here about mongrels and colour pigeons what are they to think, just me moaning lol,i feel better now,JIM uk.

Jim, I dont know whos posyt you read but it wasnt Joe's. His first sentence was telling the guy if he liked the guys birds then go get them. All he said is if he was looking for performance bases birds then he wouldnt be happy. Look at the website and you can see tha tthe guy is not breeding by performance. Why so defensive???LOL

Hi guys.
I don't really want to add fuel to the fire, but I know I will...LOL I took a quick look at that site, and I say quick because any roller man with a little experience can see almost instantly that this dude knows nothing about performance. He even explains Rollers performance in "Roller pigeons have gotten their name from their tumbling skills." This in itself irritates me. Hmm, and his logo is a yellow oriental roller. I mean, c'mon guys. Lets call it what it is and try not to get our feelings hurt.

Jim, Like Kevin stated I think that you should go back and read my post. I really dont care what somebody elses birds look like what I was trying to say is if you are looking for birds for competion then go to a competitor to get them if you are looking for show birds or birds bred for a particular color then go to a breeder that breeds for that but all to often I hear of some poor beginner that fell into the trap due basically to his ignorance on the breed of rollers and ends up complaining that so and sos birds are crap and cant roll a hoot when all he needed to do was take a look at the whole picture and he would have been able to tell that they werent bred for the roll but rather for the color. They may have been the perfect bird color wise but that does not make them the perfect roller like some will lead a beginner to believe. I wouldn't buy birds from this guy fro any reason. Not fopr performance and not for show. they're not show rollers, they're not performance bred. What are they?
I agree with Velo - run.
He says they are excellent performers, "some have even flown 3 hours".
Doesn't that say it all?

Fhtfire Lol thats funny but your right on there lol. My wife once said to me when i first started with pigeons after my first season pairing up after checking each nest bowl day after day lol i came running out of my loft up the garden path into the house to the wife and kids I couldn't wait to tell all the family big grin on my face i had found i had my first young in the nest. My wife stood there startled in amazement and said to me you wasn't that excited when our three kids was born. This is what pigeons do to you Lol. Jim Like Joe stated if you want to compete at the highest level in this roller game this guy is a complete no no look at this guys website Jim google his name look then run like hell. This guys birds has never seen a judge on his property hes what i call a feather merchant. Regards W@yne uk

Ah the wifes, just before leaving on my 9 day judging journy I made the wife go out the loft just one more time "to go over things" (like she has never done it before). When I was done with the details I reminded her how important they were to me ,she then then asked if they were as important than her. I thought for a second and the only thing I could say was "lets not let em die and find out" .
And not to Paul and his pirate earrings "naw" to early , got get ready, after nearly 16 years of self employment I had to get a job , first day today.

No Val, not single. I am king in my castle. She understands that is respected for it. If your name is on that deed, only a Judge should be able to evict you. Jay the reason it appears that way here in the USA, is because of all the spineless, balless husbands who cave to the scorned spouses because they are afraid to lose their cock warmer, or simply are ignorant about what they want in life and how to deal with domestic adversities. It was Adam and Eve, not Eve and Adam. Buck up troop!..lol

Nope, don't have an inferiority complex either! I think most of the guys here would rather joke about their relationships with their wives and risk sounding like pusses and keep the conversation on the lighter side than try to prove to the world that their nut sack is the size of Wisconsin and risk damaging friendships here!
You've got a gift of humor, I've seen you being hilarious at times, why not use it? Life hard, I come here to learn and hopefully have a laugh or two!
Sorry to the rest of you guys, this conversation is over for me!

I always liked the saying"You reap what you sow"If you treat her w respect and vice versa then there will be no prolem. When we care about a person we don't take away what makes them happy. As long as we divide our time properly and don't make em feel less important, all should be OK!!Just thought i'd add my 2 cents..ha,ha,ha.
