Okay, now that most of us failed miserably in the World Cup Prelims, what will you do different if anything to prepare for the NBRC Fally Fly?

I will pray harder for NO WIND! LOL

I am putting a lot of preasure and hope on the early 2007 hatches to replace some of the junk I flew in the WC. After watching a few competitors I realized my birds(even the better ones) are too slow. Not just referring to the spin velocity, but also how they pop into the spin and then pop out of it. Practicully everybodys birds where just quicker than mine.

Even my best spinner is not a dependable bird. He likes to at first take his time to kit; he often comes down very early and because of that he causes me trouble. He will probably join the cull team.

It is always something in this sport ain't it.

To follow up to this question. My team is showing some real promise. There are a few birds in the prelim kit that will get some oohs and ahhs. I just wish I had a couple more weeks for the newbirds to come in. Falcon has left me alone for about two weeks now and seems to be gone. If things keep up as I hope, and those bastards stop eating my hard work, I like my chances of a decent team come this FF. BUT, it really all depends on when we fly. My gut tells me I'll be back into the pred migration by then, and I'll be crying the same song. Good luck to those that have qualified, and those that have yet to fly.

Tony, not all of us failed miserably...lol. I flew the best kit of pure spinners that I have ever owned. I was very proud of them. Don't ask me about judge.

The FF and the WC are two different set ups. Different factors involved for me. This one was easy, I didn't do much of anything, flew them about 10 times after lock down, leaned them out, got control of them and spiked their energy reserves.
In the fall it is different for me, lots of other things going on including dealing with the weather, molt, etc. I have to work them harder in the fall.

Jerry, Abel and Luis made the cut. I finished in fifth with a score of 431.44. You can read the fly reports to find out who the judge was.

George, they are flying Abel flys birds that go back to Norms 778/991 and Luis is flying birds from Johnny.

Yes, I would have to say this is probably one of the toughest to qualify in. Lots of Master Flyers and hard core flyers here.

I was happy with my kit, that was the best kit I have ever flown in competition though the paperwork doesn't show it. Hardest spinning kit I've had yet.

I have to agree ,that has to be one of the toughest in the country, although they normaly get a lot of qaulifiers also.

Brian,

I don't see the report on the WC site. What is the big deal with saying who the judge is?

Nice job Brian. I hope those birds were from your Horner line. That is what I am trying to develop.

Ken, I'm still boiling, so I really don't want to go there. I'm sure the results will be posted whenever they get around to sending them in.
