Dexter I got some Roger birds here too but i use them as fosters. Dont you have a hard time keeping them from skying? Roger sent a guy some of his birds and he bred them he had a hard time keeping them down so he sent the breeders back to him. But they have some good roll in them Jacs.

Clayton, I have noticed that these birds have to be fed up a little to keep from hitting the stratosphere. If they get too fit they go through the ceiling. Right now I got last years birds on a modified yo-yo feeding which seems to be working. Another problem we had here was the unavailability of a mix with no corn. No one carried it or was willing to bring it in. I finally got one shop to special order 500 lbs. of no-corn mix, should be in within the next two weeks. We'll see if that helps. Aloha, Dexter

Hey Ivan, I live in Papaikou, about 5 miles north of Hilo. Rogers told me that you had called while you were here. Too bad the weather sucked. Let me know when you're planning on flying over and we can "talk story". As far as seeing the birds fly, don't expect much, being that I just finished my "Rookie" year with the birds. Aloha, Dexter
