Hi Guys.
When I can, I try to share our hobby with others. I brought some squeakers to my daughters kindergarten class, where the kids just had a blast. My daughter did most of the talking...LOL They were allowed some time to ask questions, and also allowed to handle some of the youngsters. The parents and teachers loved them. Maybe someone will get hooked! Enjoy.

That's just beautiful Milo. I let my nephew take 2 sqeakers to his boy scouts meeting about 3 weeks ago. He said the young birds were a hit with the scouts and a few of the other boys wanted some birds of their own.
Only problem though. Everyone keeps saying "are those Homing pigeons." Now my nephew he's a very intelligent kid for 10.
He merely tells folks... "no these are roller pigeons and they do bird gymnastics in the air"
Guess who told him to say those words?
Yep... guilty as charged.
Gotta run, so take care Milo. Wishing you & your loved ones much peace, prosperity and joy for many generations to come.

Milo, thats why you are so respected in this hobby. It`s not just that you have proven yourself a great flyer and manager, or that you have shared so much knowledge with us all. This shows your love for the birds. AND the little ones who are the future of the sport. Way to be, Milo.

So cool Milo.I had some young guys over visiting today who are studying english at Malaspina U close by here. They are both right into pigeons and are from Istanbul,Turkey.Said they hate to be seperated from their birds back home so really enjoyed seeing my birds fly and perform.Pigeons are pretty big over there in Turkey.Everybody has em and they have special coffee/tea shops where they all go at sunset to talk, sell, trade birds. If I could handle the city,I'd love to go visit them in Turkey when they go back but not this country boy.I'll post the weblinks when they give them to me.Surely to be some interesting reading. ---------- Kelly

Cool Milo,
I just took a half kit to my kids school too about a week ago. I brought to half kit and then I brought a young bird about a week old and one about 10 days old so they could see the young birds. My son also raised a bird from a baby to adult hood and lives in our house. This little hen thinks she is a person...if I take her to the loft..she freaks out!! LOL!! I am her boyfried too...when I walk in the room..she coos...and struts around...and if I put my hand in the cage...she woos me...LOL!!
ANyway...the kids loved the birds...I released the kit outside...I also brought in some WWII message carriers to show the birds how they carry messages...and then I handed all the kids a band from last years left overs to take home. I am glad that you are doing this....Looks like you had some fun!!!

Nice job Milo. I feel it is something we should all do when the opportunity presents itself. These kids are the future of public opinion. Mine is Thursday.Circus Day is the end of school party. The school is just three blocks from the school so I can let out a kit. This kit real active early so I hope they will put on a show before they fly home.
