Lets see, I have bred 38 or so birds so far from three pairs. I am noticing as I breed more birds the colors are reverting back to the greatgrandparents and grandparents markings and colors. I know color has nothing to do with performance.
What I would like to hear are few examples of similar personage,if you will, with these throwback birds. When do you get to see if there is a similar genetic makeup other than color and marking?
I had a redbar breeder cock who succumbed to illness last winter. He was a good producer and great looking bird patrenal grandfather to this new chick. I have a chick who is the spitting image of him. I never got to see the cock bird fly and he was one of my faves,so I have a little attachment to this little guy already. Just wondering.

Jim, These are the babies from my breeders that have almost the exact same colors and markings as the grandparents. Not inbred birds. Just wondering what the genetic corelation is if any. ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!
