Here is the progress on the new kitbox.I used some of your opinions and put the doors on the low side of the roof. It will house 28 on each side, with drop traps. I used chicken wire for the floor due to me having no critters around that will attempt to get in due to the lab and shepherd that lay beneath it. I left the overhang eves open and used wire there for ventilation. This is one heavy dude, but will work slick.
Here is also some pics I took of my YB'S during flight today..they were feeling good.

I would have used 1/2 inch by 1 inch rabbit wire on the floor to assist in keeping snakes out and Coopers hawks reaching through and getting a pigeon foot or two. (Yes, I did see the dog under the kit box.

Thanks guys...I hope to have it finished and painted in the next day or 2. I am sure there are things that I wish I had done differently, but overall, it turned out pretty well. Hey turkey,I have never seen a coop get underneath a kitbox before, but I guess it could happen...But, not with my full time pigeon protectors there. I was gonna use 1/2 X 1" wire, but had tons of this so I used it..I can change it later if need be.... Again, thanks guys.
P.S...Chor, they were about 400 feet or so when photos were taken

great looking kitbox. I also prefer the roof to slope to the front so I can see all the birds when they land. Especially young when still training and you need to be sure they trap in. The only drawback to the roof angle is when feeding in the rain, all the water and whatever it washes off the roof is coming right down on your head. LOL I made gutters out of 2 inch CPVC pipe. Just run it through a table saw and , walah, gutters!

Thanks Paul, Butch, I plan on installing 5" gutters and just letting it run out on the left side. I got it moved to where it needed to be this evening..I placed the birds in it and they freeked out because of never seeing a wire floor. I couldn't even coxe em' to the floor with food. Guess they will get used to it in time..Now to train them to the new box...I remember the last time..It sucked..This one is 4 feet from the other, so shouldn't be to bad after a few days of cage training to trap, then close off their old trap door.
