List, As per World Cup bylaws, we will hold elections for World Cup Officers at the end of this year's fly. I wanted to give everyone a head's up to start thinking about it, because we will hold the elections around the 3rd week in July after the fly is over. Myself, Ivan, Tim, and Rick have all decided not to run for re-election, so we all need to start looking for nominees for the 4 offices, WC General Coordinator, Asst WC Coordinator, Treasurer, and Special Promotions Director. Anyone wishing to run for any of the offices, please notify me and your name will be placed in nomination. You can e-mail me at dszab@aol.com or call me at 585-742-1115. Hello Dave, thanks for posting this info. Can you tell us what each position is responsible for and an idea of the time required to fulfill the position, plus any other information that would help someone make a decision? Thanks Dave. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

Hey Marcus,
No, the World Cup and the NBRC are separate organizations. The World Cup accepts nominees for the positions and then the World Cup Committee elects the officers from the nominees.

Dave,
can I ask why you are stepping down? I think it would be better for the WC if you could hang in there a couple of years.

Ken,
I just can't give it the time committment that it needs. I only took the job last year because nobody would step up when Ron stepped down. I knew it would be a time crunch for me with my already busy schedule, but I took the job to help the World Cup, when nobody else would take it. I have even less time this year, so I knew I wouldn't have the time that I needed to do the job right. I will probably come back in the future and offer my services to the World Cup again, when I have more free time.

Who's leading the World Cup in scores right now? Wanted to know region by region leaders... or is it district by district?

Thank you Dave. Perhaps one of South African friends will step up. We work too much!
