hi all nice to see the site back up and runing. i have just had 4 red badges gave to me by a friend of my dads 1 is a 06 bird and the other are young birds but have all been flow out before and i want to know how long should i keep them in till i let them out they can all see out of the shed as i have got wire meash doors. and i will also try and post pictures of them soon

i would keep them and breed out of them so you dont lose them or if you really want to fly them you can tape there wings and train them to your house until the tape comes off ---------- The man in black city-side-lofts.piczo.com Ben the bird man

What does the tape do I do not know that trick would you mind explaining to a rookie

Tripp,
You wrap tape arount the primary feathers of one wing. Keeps the bird from flying too far and/or too high. In fact if done correctly they may be able to fly from the ground to the top of a kitbox or loft if they work real hard.
There are some dangers if you have them outside during the hawk season........they simply can't flee and evade.

i would breed out of them but when i tape the birds wings or cut the feathers i stay out with them so nothing will get them or i put my cat near the bird and my cat wont touch the birds but she will kick any cat that comes near the birds ---------- The man in black city-side-lofts.piczo.com Ben the bird man of Idaho
