I have never even contemplated that as a trap. How easy was it to get them to work it?

Yya really, thats sure a different twist on the old trap idea. I guess young birds would probably learn if you worked with them a lot. But my old birds would think I was nuts if I tried that on them,LOL

Actually I put a little seed in one end and put the cap back on it. They try to cross over and eat it but the hole is in the way. They look down into the box and usually slide right on in. So far 4 of the six went in with no coaxing the first time up. After they get trained to it I will open both ends and they should go right on in.
With the dowel door I was limited as to where to put a trap. Also had to be careful with the post subject. lol ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

Hey V that's a great idea as far as i'm concerned!Pigeons are easily trained to any trap with feed.Good thinking!
