Welcome Peter, I guess my question to you is are there not any good, deep rollers over there?..That would save you money from shipping, as well as you would be able to see the stock and possible some youngsters fly from a possible breeder..If not, then the best of luck.
P.S...click on the "contact us" tab at the top of the page, and the site owner, Tony, has some nice birds..Just email him and he will help ya anyway possible.

Pete,
Welcome to the site. Are you Pete Handy? If you are you already have deep spinners(LOL).
I believe it is legal, but it is expensive. There are many of breeders who have birds available with Tony (owner of this site) being more than helpful.
Good luck.

Peter, working on the assumption that you know that the UK has all the roller quality you would need, and therefore have other motives for importing from abroad, you would have both financial and paperwork obstacles to overcome. Our country (the UK), especially with bird flu on the doorstep, is taking ever greater caution as to the importation of livestock.
It has been done in the past - our own George Mason, for one - has exported from the UK to the likes of South Africa and Australia. However, such were the costs involved that a pool of flyers took part from the importing countries so as to split the costs - so, it ain't for the faint-hearted. It's also not something which anyone at random will be able to cost for you, as each country's import/export procedures are different. You would need to find someone who has recently done exactly as you want to do, ie, get rollers out of the US into the UK.

Don't forget also the 30 day quarentine. Allot of birds die in captivity in that period. Ask the racing homer guys around where you live and they will be able to guide you through the process.

The whole thing is, Pete, if you can't find quality Birmingham Rollers in the UK you ain't looking. Save your money..........the Birmingham is not the one in Alabama; you will find it in Black County, England. It is probably a hint. Anyway, there are color breeders here in the states that have penetrated into the hobby by lies and ficticious claims. You might end up with a bunch of contaminated crap with just a promise of producing deep rollers.
Find Pete Handy or George Mason or Dave Moseley or (the list goes on).
