I got it out of the hen box a few days after I seperated the sexes.

Way deficient in calcium.
I've seen it a couple times in an older hen. Calcium gluconate in the water along with grit and oyster shell should do wonders.

Think it came out of a real young hen. I broke them up because of all the hanky panky going on. It isn`t from a breeder it came out of a kit box. ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

Kenny, Cut back on the feed. Hanky panky hens and eggs in the kit boxes are a good very indicator of overfeeding. It's amazing how little feed a kit of hens actually need! Give them 5 minutes max. then take the balance away in warm weather. Otis

Otis I cut them back til the were all coming in wings up.Started getting thin and I still had eggs. So rather than starve them to death,I just split the sexes. I called a more knowledgable fancier he said it was just spring and just watch them close or split them up. I have taken a liking to this arrangement so far. The cocks are rolling really well. I have 13 of them, thinking FF 11 bird once they gel and really get after it. I am coming to the conclusion, take whatcha got in front of you idiot. ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

Birdman, It felt really weird.Kinda smooshy and jelly like. Similar to a water baloon. The membrane was pretty tough surprisingly. The dog made a weird face when she popped it in her mouth. LOL BTW breeders have oyster shell in front at all times. ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

Weird aint it?
Here is an egg that an older hen laid that was unusual. It is the smaller one, while the other is a normal pigeon egg.

Makes me want to feed more grit to the birds after seeing those eggs.
