This is a very small cock that is dynomite. His name is Grumpy (small man syndrome) and he responsible for the 3 yellows all from three different hens.
The following three shots are some some of my 2007 youngsters.

Hey Paul,
That forth picture; those two lavenders are Super Chicken's.
Kenny - I'll get those yellows together and take a picture.
Kelly - The color of the stain is rustic red. A deck stain and is petrolium based.....feels like wax and repells water for up to three years. I slather the outside up every year.

Somebody wanted to see the yellows produced by the little bird suffering from the little man syndrome.
One of the birds has a control issue and is attempting to get on my cull rositer ---------- Nick

Russ,
There has to be dilute somewhere. The hen that produced one is a recessive red spangle. Another was an ash red: another was a red check pied. The hens never threw yellow from any other pairing. It is only when he is in the mix that I get the yellow. The 2006 bird is having stability issues. Great form and velocity, but often bumps. ---------- Nick

Nick, the dilute is coming from your cock. 'Grumpy's' mother HAD to be a dilute and Grumpy carries the gene for it. Check your records. If his mother is not a dilute....well I guess that opens a new can of worms now don't it...lol
And by the way, the hens can't hide dilute. If they are dilute then it shows.

Russ,
I had the pedigree for "Grumpy" and he has yellow in his family tree. "Grumpy is a Ghost Town Roller that Mark Booker developed. I got him at Joe Urbon's house about three or four years ago. Flew him out for over a year and he was good; had all the goods. He is extremely small and he can shit and get. He normally produces good birds, but this older yellow bird is troublesom. The other two are too young to tell. I have never had yellow birds before and I know Ol' Bill Pensom says the soft colors have less character, thus are less valuable. He also said that if any are stable and of good character the color isn't pure(LOL). May be they ain't pure(LOL).
I am thinking about mailing them to Kenny Billings or Scott Campbell as a gift. ---------- Nick

Hey Ben,
You asked a question about training your birds to land and kit with the rattle of the feed can. I did that that once and this is how I got it done; each time I would feed them right before I would place feed into the kitbox I would shake the feed can. You do this for several days and when they are flying and you want them in; shake the can. They will respond.
I started to tell you that last night in the chatroom and before I got it out you left.
Try it; you may get the results you want. I now do it by voice commands. It works when they are hungery; they just flip me the bird when they ain't(LOL). ---------- Nick
