Check this out! I had an attack the other day, the falcon injured one and got one. The injured one had its cropped torn apart and while looking at the crop of the bird I could see grain sticking to the feather. It has been 3 days and earlier when I examined the bird drinking water, the water was just leaking out if its crop. Can you guys tell me if this roller is going to survive? I asked my dad and he said I should've sew the crop together. Tou

Super Glue. You'll have to glue it probably about once a day if they drink a lot of water.

Brian is right, try the super glue! It will not hurt the bird, and it will usually work! I have even used it on myself from time to time! Seriously, try it!

When my brother & cousin were into Racing Homers, one came in with it's crop sliced open. My cousin just took some grey thread and needle and sewed the bird up. Bird was fine in a week. If you're not squemish, sew the bird up. If you're like me and don't like the sight of blood and gore, use super glue.

I think I'm going to have to go with super glue because just like the few of you guys here, I get knots in my stomach. Thankyou. Tou

Yes its surprising how tough and quick these birds heal. I also had a hawk put a big hole in the side of one of my pigeons. Within 2 weeks the scab dropped off and the pigeon healed up pretty good. The down side to this is that the pigeon was never the same after that it developed kitting problems due to nervousness i put it down to. ---------- Regards W@yne UK
