Top three things I try to teach my kids, don't steal, don't lie , and don't disrespect other peoples property! The world has enough loosers!!!
My boy and I were driving down the street the other day and he waved at a passing policeman! I asked, whats up with that? He said, they like my friends and me! I asked why! He said because they know we won't lie to them! Kinda put a lump in my throat!
Sorry, just board and rambling!

Val, the youth are our future, and with that, I usually go out of my way to stop and chat to kids that are playing in parks, schools, where ever, when I am on duty just to say hello. It makes a positive impact on not only their thoughts of law enforcement, but they discuss the situation with their parents. Some of these parents are not the law abiding type, and therefore teach their kids that the police are bad. I usually step up and try to change the kids perspective of how they perceive us as officers..Kinda cool when I let them toot the siren, or turn on the light bar.
Ben, that sucks!..check the neighborhood kids ----------

my only solution ben is PITBULL! get like 3 cause usually they all come in 3, don't have any friends go to your loft cause even your most trusted friends can steal your pigeons(I learned from experience). Don't let anybody go to the loft except for close family, I mean only mom, dad, and siblings can go. Make the dogs aggressive when they see someone, but not to the point where they will tear the people up, too the point where they will scare off the unwanted visitors. ---------- Nrhoua (Doua) Xiong 4581 25th ave. sacramento C.A. 95820 http://freewebs.com/performingrollers

Ben, I'm sorry for your loss but you can't buy locks big enough to stop a thief. I hope they were young birds not your breeders. Although any loss hurts and is unforgiveable.

I hope you catch these birds of prey. (thieves) and throw the book at them, there is no room for them in our hobby.

well what sucks is those birds that where stolen where my breeders and where in with my best blue check birds and the blue checks where not stolen so I think some one knew what they where doing but I don't know that for sure they took my best hens and left my best two cock birds but I now have locks on every thing but if they really wanted to get in they could break down the door but some one would hear or see them then but if I find them they wont be able to walk or talk some of my friends are looking out to see if they can see any one who has black homers and red checks my red check hen has a white feather behind her right eye and i have there band numbers so there is a better chance of getting them back I hope ---------- The man in black city-side-lofts.piczo.com Ben the bird man of Idaho

Roll back your memory and bring the vision of the people who visited you and checked out your setup. You will find the theif among them. Think of the person who really was interested about your homers and asked you too many questions about them. You will find your answer. Don't be surprised if he was a family member either.
