Hearing is very good. When I fart loudly in the loft, they all turn and stare.

Shaun, Is that their sense of hearing or their sense of smell. The sound of a fart only irritates women, the smell can clear a room full of tough men in an instant. I feel for your birds. LOL. Gregg.

Hearing, color, and taste I know they have. Can't remember if smell is on thier list or not. Hearing and eye sight is very good and they know what they like and don't like when eating.

OK Seems I am the first one to pipe in on this one. Pigeons can hear ultra low frequencies beyond the range of human hearing. Could be why the know when the storms are coming, they can hear it. They can see UV light and their sense of smell is well developed as well. yits ya`ll ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

They can respond to different colors but seem to favor the red end of the spectrum, which is why we use orange, red, or yellow landing markings. Their favorite odors seem to be anise or lavender. Al

To exchange views between what he knows and what you or others know. How often did you aske a question, knowing the answer just to start a dialog?
