The fly pulled in a great number of good roller men from all over. If I had to guess there was 60 to 70 roller guys present. I want to Thank all of the Canton/Akron roller guys for a job well done. Like always my hat goes off to each and everyone of you.... Had a great time and and the wife really enjoyed herself too. She is looking forward to going with me to the convention. She don't want nothing to do with the shopping just wants to watch the birds in the backyard. She was very excited and the weather was just beautiful for this time of year.
Also I want to thank Joe Quinn for the great BBQ we had at his home with him and his family. Which I found out is a very large family {in numbers that is} He told us he had 14 kids WOW!!!! and they did a great job as well as the grandkids.
I'm glad I was able to make this fly because I got to meet some great people as well as some very good old friends. And Jimmy Sherwood it was great to talk with you and talk about the good ole days... Had plenty of laughs with my buddy Scotty Rice.
Continue soon Brian Middaugh

Hey Brian, I have actually pulled the entire A team from the air and sent them to my friend Don Siggins house to breed from. I will be taking a leave from competition for a bit and figured they would do him alot more good in the breeding pen than me just sitting in the kit box. I am still flying 2 young bird kits but more for my own enjoyment. Just to busy at this time to really do the birds justice. But I will be back when I have more time.
Your friend, Joe Urbon

I really had a great time and met allot of people there. I was very happy to meet Brian and his wife, Cliff, Wendell Carter, Charlie, Jim Sherwood, Ron and the others. Above all was glad to meet Joe Quinn and Wally Fort. Joe and I had a few conversations and I enjoyed talking with him. He is a very knowledgeable man. Bought couple of his books and had him sign both of them. Above all it was a great day and a great get together. I am looking forward to the convention this September. I hope I can meet more of you all.

Brian,
How in the hell did somebody as ugly as you capture a pretty wife? Gunpoint?......(LOL). I am glad you included her, too many of us exclude the person that means the most to us. I think I will post of a picture of my best friend of 40 years. ---------- Nick

Ditto, Jay! I really enjoyed meeting you, Brian M., Paul D., Ken B. from this site. It was a great day of flying rollers, talking rollers and meeting roller guys! While some guys are whining about pigeon politics, some are out flying pigeons; business as usual! Cliff

Hey guys,
With all that is going on I wanted to post something that is on the other side of the fence. I wanted to show the people who read these pages the other side of us. The reason why we have these birds and how much fun we have with them. How we can all group together and have a great time and talk about something we all have in common ROLLERS!
I just wish it was a movie instead of pictures. Because they would have heard us laughing and having a great time. The way it is suppose to be. I don't believe no one left there without a smile on there face.
I received an email saying that the event was a success because of the people who showed up. I believe it was a factor of a few things, Good people, good rollers, and good food.
Nick I don't know how I caught my wife but I know I got a good one this time. When I went to Mississippi after the hurricane she took care of all the animals and kids. Plus all of my chores for 6 months. And didn't complain a bit. Except that it was too cold because she did all of this in the winter!!!
The funny thing she asked me before we left the mini fly if we were going to attend the convention. And that is when I made up my mind about going. So we plan on attending Friday and Saturday. Because I think Thursday is just a get together dinner that night.
Wayne, It never fails when Scotty Rice and I get together you can bet we are having a blast. We never laugh so hard and cutting up.
Cliff can you email me the schedule for the convention?
Paul my daily log is on myspace and the address is: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=143044518 Just click feeding and flying. If I bomb with what I'm doing you will see everything that happens. If I find something you'll be the first to know.
Thanks everyone for a great time at the mini fly and hope to see more of you in the up coming months. Brian Middaugh
