One pair of my rollers had recently laid an egg. This morning i woke up to find the egg out of the nest so I put it back in. THe egg is only two days old. Is the egg stil good after being out for a whole night without the parents sitting on it? How long will it take eggs to go bad when first laid? If the parents don't sit on them for 3 or 4 days after being laid are they still good for fertilization? Thanks in advance.

In hot weather I have went 5 days and they still hatched. If this pair keeps kicking it out; try placing under another pair who is setting eggs. They can raise three. In about 10 days I would check it to make sure it is fertile.

Don't forget to mark that egg, I use a pencil very lightly making an X on it.
