Hey guys,
I want to apologize for being disgruntled. I hate complaining and talking about all this stuff. I tried to get things resolved the right way. I didn't say anything when things first went south because Juan told me he would take care of it. They have all told me they would take care of my problem but none told the truth. I'm not happy, but I'm done. If they won't do the right thing, I can't make them and neither can you! I'm done, no more from me. Sorry for dumping what I think needs changing in the NBRC here.. KGB

You are listed as the recipient of the Master Flyer Award for 2004 along with Alex Hamilton. It is on page 99, which the inside of the rear cover page. As far as the actual point screw up, they will have to fix it. They will have to fix a lot of things after this fiasco or face the simple fact that there will probably be a competing roller club. Of course the pressure will have to continue coming from all of us. If we sit back and tell them they are the greatest, it just goes to their friggin heads and they believe it. No one in this world is irreplaceable. They seem to have forgotten that point.

I'm not giving up. I just hate being negative all the time. Seams most are happy with the state of things. I just hope they never have a reason to need help against the power base. It's not out there. I'm on to happier things.
Hey, my friend Bobby Bradley is not doing to well.I hope you will keep him in your prayers. He sent me one of his top stock cocks and a couple hens. Bobby has a lot of friends. He has been mentioned for prayers to me by four people in the last three days. He will be in my daily prayers as are the guys going through the problems on the west coast. And I do believe in the power of prayer, I've witnessed it myself. God Bless.

Being THANKFUL,instead of sorry is a better way to go.The more attention you give things good or bad the more of the same you will get.When people turn a deaf ear it is a negative vibration,you are giving off.When you address your concern with a positive/thankful spin and truly beleive.The resolve will come faster and be exactly what you asked for.The only other natural emotion that is greater is love.
When you speak or write avoid words like no,don't,not,can't,won't,couldn't,shouldn't,etc.They are self sabataging.Your concerns are genuine,voice them differently,avoid negative precursers.You will notice a difference in how your message is absorbed...Aloha,Todd

OK, I'm with you. Lets just all be happy and use happy words. I have a great idea for making everyone feel great this year at the convention. I counted 19 master flyer recipients in the May July issue of the NBRC. How about we award 19 master fly plaques at the convention this year Todd? We can find 19 guys we like and just give them whom ever's master flyer points they would like. Their own fly record is of no concern. How about you Todd? You want Monty Nieble's, Jerry Higgin's or Rick Mee's master flyer record? I mean this would really make some guy's happy don't you think? Post your name Todd and some one else's fly record in the NBRC? NBRC Master flyer.. It's not about your fly record! It's not about INTEGRITY. It's about how good you feel!! I'm with you Todd! My post went over your head.I am a C.E.O in two sucessful LLC's here in Hawaii.One is a Real estate company specializing in probate,and pre-forclosures.The other is a Surfacing construction company.The third is a highend custom cabinet/architectual woodworking shop,that I am a limited partner in.The woodworking shop is expanding when everyone else is shutting down.I have been a licensed General contractor for 15 years.
I have spent the last 3 years attending wealth building workshops and spent thousands of dollars educating myself.
The point of my post was to lend some advice to an experienced fancier about how to approach his concerns.The mis conception is that I was being touchy-feely or liberal in any way.
One thing I do know,Kenny, is that you are smart enough to know I was being helpful.If you want to turn it into sarcasm, then so beit.Will you catch more flys with honey,Yes.Will a individual or group turn a deaf ear when you are flying off the handle and not stating relevant facts,Yes.
I would also like to say that I knew nothing about your Master Flyer issue,truthfully its your own issue to pursue.
Whether you choose to go through the right channels and do it with a level head or clock the decision maker with a pigeon crate is up to you.Pigeon politics suck,and it goes against the enjoyment of the hobby.
I f you think I just fell into this hobby recently and never seen a judge score something wrong your mistaken.
I fly 5 kits of rollers,not including my Racing homers.So you can see I am a serious pigeon flier.I know what I am talking about,put any spin you want on it...Aloha,Todd

In my opinion, Todd has always been a gentleman on this site. He has been posting for quite awhile and has always taken the high road.
Without having spoken with Todd about this, I believe he was laying out his credentials, not attempting to speak down to anyone, but to illustrate his level of credibility and expertise as a professional business person, one very knowledgable about the affairs of men.
Let's end this here.

Honestly, thanks for the advise. I understand where you are coming from. My reply was obviously absurd, PURPOSELY!! I was just hoping it would point out how ridicules this situation is! Todd, Help me out here. I have went to the president on this issue many times. I have went to the RD, to the vice president and everyone that has been in charge of the NBRC Master flyer award. They all tell me they will get right on it and then 6 months later nothing. Or they just don't answer your call anymore. Tell me, what channel I should go through next? I'm listening and I mean that. If you know how to get the NBRC to do what is right, Give me back my fly record and give Beaver Dayton's Master flyer record to him. His Master flyer record has never even been posted as the newest Master flyer of the NBRC. His Name as master flyer has only been published using my fly record. That must suck for him also! We both deserve to have this straightened out don't you think? So your right, sour grapes gets nothing done and it makes me feel like crap!! So Todd, using all those positive thinking schools you have been too. What would you do next? If you had been through all the proper channels and you just keep getting the go around? Tell me something constructive I can do? I have tried the believe what they tell me and wait game. So there you go. What would you do next Todd? KGB

I am not familiar with your situation as far as Master Flyer points goes. Reading the above mentioned posts, and my words not meaning a hole hell of a lot, it is my belief that if a person, liked or unliked by anyone has earned his points and therefore the right to be considered a Master Flyer recipient, then that person needs to have recognition givin where it was earned!
With that said, and with you following all of the channels to get this resolved with no luck, I say that a letter of intent needs to be sent to the highest authority, and then if no answer, or wrong answer, then a petition needs to be started!
Again, these are my words, and they dont mean crap!

I think what Jerry said hit the nail right on the head.My first impression is patience.Write a cover letter to the 8 officers of the NBRC asking that it would be appreciated if master flyer points discrepency could be rectified and acknowledged by the july-august publication.Layout the proof of the discrepencys with 8 copies and the cover letter,send it to each one of them hardcopy.My feeling since you have already mentioned this to some of the officers,it is in the process of being rectified.Let the officers know in your cover page that you thought that the problem would have acknowledged through publication by now and you are upset.Also let them know in writing
you are looking to expodite the dicrepency,not just for yourself ,but for Beaver Daytons fly record as well.Thank them for there immediate attention to this matter.
Kenny,My hope is that you are able to move through this matter and go on to more flys with the confidence you have done the right thing.My Dad always said "Do the right thing and the right things will happen".
Kenny,it is also my belief that you are the BEST ONE on this list qualified to bring the World Cup Championship 2008 home to America.Good luck,with your future flys...Aloha,Todd

Here is my take on the Master Flyer thing. KGB's record was mistaking used to qualify Beaver. When this was learned that Beaver did not have the points to qualify and this realization came after they had notified everyone to include Beaver. Now, they just don't have the heart to inform Beaver and the members that a mistake was made and they will have to withdraw the award to Beaver. Now they are hoping that Beaver will accummulate enough points in the current competitions so they don't have to go thru the embassasment of withdrawing the award.
This might not be what actually occurred, but it is the only reason I can think of that this occurred like it did. I am stumped1
