We to often hear of others having birds that are this and that, but never see pics of them...Today, with the economy the way it is, it is difficult for most to travel to see what others have..That is where posted pictures come into play...I realize that some may not have a digital camera, or not be computer savy to be able to post them, but those that do post have something to brag about... Here are a few birds that are from different ends of the spectrum..I have flown these birds atleast 2 years and know what they have...Just for fun "trust me, you cant hurt my feelings", give me your good and bad advice on what ya see....I will still like ya, I promise..

Thanks Justin, Jim, and RUUDDDYYYY, I was trying to get some experienced fliers to shed some light on these birds. My goal was to show these birds, get some opinions on the overall makeup, and in return, that would help the newbies that get on this site learn the good and bad of what to look for in a bird...BUT, I guess there are no experienced fliers here.

From experienced flyers you will only get “Nice Birds”. Experienced flyers will only judge a bird in the air then they will handle the bird after it lands and tell you their honest opinion.

Jerry, Knowing that you kept these birds for two years tells me that there was something about them that you liked or you would not have wasted your feed on them.
I really like the white you have posted there. Nice apple body, good feather quality, not long cast and its not a bull eye. These are all qualities I like in a bird.
I bet thats one of the better spinners you bred in the last couple of years.

Jerry , out of the two I like the Lavy the best by far, pics are hard though as it has to catch the bird just right. As for all the birds posted, I like Rudys Tort, that bird looks like it could do it if all else is there.

Jerry,
I am looking at the two that you posted(nearly white red grizzle and the red checker). You have kept them for two years so they must do something for you to keep 'em. I would say the red checker is the better performance bird. It has a short cubby body and looks right. The head is a little smaller than I like. This bird is more frequent than the lighter colored bird. The lighter bird looks the part, but I am thinking it is a little on the stiff side.
Both birds appear to be a little fat, but not having my hands on them I can't really tell for sure.
The feathering on the grizzle is harder than the checker. The grizzle is a better looking bird on the perch, but its performance is less than the checker. Just my guess and opinion. ---------- Nick

Thanks for replying guys, including you Jay... Of the 2 birds at top posted, the white is of better quality in the air..She has alot going for her. I pulled her a few months back to breed from, and then she will go back into the air to use in the fall fly hopefully..I have a few in the kitbox from her now, so will know more next year...The red check is a good bird, not as deep "20 foot" as the other, but you will NEVER see him out of the kit..He comes out of the roll with rockets blazing trying to get back to the kit..I dont care much for his feather quality, or his depth, so he will remain in the air until something happens to him..Of the birds I have bred the past 4 years, she is one of the best..I have a few who are as good, and only 4 that are better.. ----------

birdman, what family are they? they seem to me to be a little more long cast than I care for but ,Hey, if they work for ya then thats all that matters. Maybe long cast is the secret to the spin???? LOL They are great looking birds though. Very clean lines and healthy looking. ---------- Butch @ Sundance Roller Lofts
