Hey not everyone has left with Fang. Us P ons are still here asking, watching, and yes telling every so often. Its still just as good today as yesterday and will be even better tomorrow.

A Hmong is a nationality from the Cambodia area. I was involved with them when I was in Southeast Asia (out of Vietnam)Solid alies

A lot of things brought me to tears during that time. I saw some horrible things that happened to some great people and it haunts me to this day.

The slaughter still continues today. Hmong are not terrorist nor rebels. As you guys should know General Vang Pao, the so called leader of the Hmong American community in the United States was imprisoned because of an alleged overthrow of the communist government of Laos. General Vang Pao's last resort was to buy military weapons to make it known to the public that Hmong people refugees are still being killed by the Laos government eversince the Vietnam War. This was his last resort because the U.S. has allowed it and just left the Hmong people there not knowing the consequences. I think that General Vang Pao is a brave man for standing out for this own people that are helpless. I just thought you guys should know. Enough about this controversial subject and back to rollers. I'm Hmong. I'm positive there are people out there just reading these posts or something but just not posting and stuff. Keep your hopes up. Not seeing serious roller fanciers in the Hmong community anymore though. But keep your hopes up. I'm Hmong and I'm a roller die-hard fancier that's for sure. lol.-joe

Black Hawk where are you from? Silent where are you from? There is actually alot of hmong people here is Sacramento that flys rollers but not alot of them flys in competition, well none that i know right now...im sure that they got there own reason but there is alot of hmong people that raises rollers here in Sacramento.......

Dave Vang got 4th in last year's NBRC Fall Fly and third in the world in this year's World Cup. I think there are very serious Hmong Roller Breeders....one of them will be a national and/or world champion one of these days. Probably Dave.

We get so little news from that part of the world anymore, only a little short blurb now and then with no background information.....nobody knows who is who and who is doing what to who anymore. I know there are killings going on there all of the time; massacures and not much is being done about it.....sad times now days.

Milo-I have been to Italy several times since the early 70s-until present(Wife is their now .From Venice--to--Sicily-even Rome,Sardinia-ETC.ETC.--saw alot of street pigions--but never saw any rollers or any organized flyers of anykind.In Venice there are literally tens of thousands of pigions,I never saw one band on any of them! I am sure they are their somewhere-just never saw any. Believe me --My wife was getting mad at me for always looking up in the sky wherever we went and taking video of street birds! LOL!
Maybe Italian flyers are just an American phenomenon??? who knows??

There are quite a few of them. They will read this and may or may not respond. Most are now second generation, but as Nick said, they are people that you want as your friend. I share a lot of the same memories as Nick and have some I would just as soon forget. But I will tell you that they are good people, the best. They are friends and fierce fighters and deserve to be in the U.S.

Well I was born in the USA am I Hmong? Does race matter? If you came here were I live you would not know what race I am so does it matter,when i go to the states they think I am a mexican Hmmm LOL does race matter it is all in the HEART

You can call me your friend any day. That goes for any one else. Don't forget to stop by some time if ever in MN. We locals don't fly that many great kits (as Iowa has been kicking our butts in the major flys) but do have some good rollers in the air from time to time. I am pretty sure a flier of the Minnesota Flying Roller Group will put ome thing together for any visitor. Fliers are hard to come by now a days, we need all we can get.
