WOW wish my setup looked half as good! Better watch out, I will come knocking wearing a witches hat and wanting birds and dog in exchange for a treat.

My breeder loft is 8x8. The kitboxes are for each duplex is 36Lx30Wx38H to the peak of roof. Each side can house 24 birds. I fly two kits (20 birds each), an old bird kit and a young bird kit. Have some late hatches that I am still trainning also.

Hi Jay had a suggestion maybe it would be better if u had a wooden picket fence all around for more privacy...
i notice chain link ??

Rudy,

My wife been wanting a privacy fence for years but I've been resisting it. Privacy fences somehow causes tensions with neighbors and create an isolation. This way I keep good relation with my neighbors and socilaize in the summer months. They keep an eye on my property as I do to them. I like to be able to see all the way around my house since there is no house behind mine but a grassy lot. I live on a corner lot like "L" shape which gives me the view of the street in front of my house all the way down to the main street. BTW..I own the house next to me where the privacy fence is located. I put a privacy fence now before I sell that house so no problems will start with the new owners when I sell it and happen to errect the fence afterwords.

Thank you guys for all your kind comments. I try to keep it up and make it presentable to the environment around me. This way it is less hassle with neighbors and the effort is minimal.

Yes, we have nice grass around here if you take care of it. I usually use weed and feed once and fertilize twice a summer. I don’t water my grass, the rain does that.

Yes Paul. Two pairs of yours made it to my stock loft. The Andulusian hen paired with Scott C. black self cock. This pairing is not going to continue and the Cock will be replaced by another. The other pair is the blue bar self hen (Emmami) and the red grizzle cock (C. Roe). I am testing these parings offspring now. They look promising thus far.

Last year I paired the recessive red hen with blue check w/f cock (Danny Horner) and the rec red offspring were awsom. I broke up the pair this year just to do some test mating but definitely next season she will be back with him.

Your birds really blended excellent with my birds. They look the same, feed the same, act the same and behave and fly the same. Your rollers that I used for mating are 25-30 footers. What is left is still flying with my old bird kit.

Jay,
What is the performance like of that Andy hen of yours, so I can match her with a good cock? Rate her 1-5 for me in each, 5 being the best, in frequency, depth, speed, and kitting.

I would say (5) Excellent kitter, (4) 25 feet, (4) very good speed, and (4) frequency is above avarage.

Is it true I read somewhere you were thinking of making a run for the NBRC leadership? If so good on ya.
Hey,and I like your Westie. We have the Aussies as I'm sure you've seen the pics.Great pets!2 sleep in their boxes on the floor and the other one is on the bed every night unless I give the wife gifty as she calls it and I sleep in the spare room and she has all 3 on the bed.

Kelly,

That is not me running for the NBRC presidency. It is Jay Yandle form North Carolina. And he has my vote. His pictures are posted on the “NC NBRC 2007 Convention” thread. He is a very pleasant guy and well respected among his pears. He is also a Motorcycle police officer. Well groomed and organized and would be a great man for the demanding job. He is also the 11 birds champ in 2005 or 2006. I am not sure.

I like those Westies. Those dogs are very active and lovable. They keep you amused for quite sometime. This one thou think he is a cat of how he plays with his toys or any critter he can find.

Paul, my brother just bought one also. It is called “Silver Arrow” addition 2002. Your daughter will look good driving one of them…so, help her out.

Thanks for all your kind comments and well wishes and hope to have every one of you to my backyard watching rollers and talk pigeons someday.

Jay

Jay, Like the set-up and especially your ride! What year is it? Thought about test driving one soon! Are those plastic feed trays? I like them better than wood even though the wood lasts longer! How do you deal with the snow? Otis

Otis,

That one is 2000. They are a blast in the spring and summer. I prefer the V8s over the V6s for better performance. The only draw back is you have to use premium gas only. I have the black, my brother has a red and the other has a silver.

Those plastic trays are the trays that are used for the 8 bird breeding compartment. Foys sell them $5 each. I like them because they are just the right size for the kitboxes and very easy to clean. Just use the garden hose and they are good to go. I leave them on the side of the kitbox when stored and are not affected by the weather.

Back to your hen, sorry to be such a pain, but are you trying to reproduce her or go for more depth?

Depth. It is easy to reproduce her within what I have but I lack the depth of access to 25 feet. I like to move a step forward and bring my good birds to 35 - 50 feet range and maybe 60. I know I can do it because I saw birds that can do it with style. Thanks Cliff.
