i think its time to focus on changing the way people pick their stock birds no more picking from the air this only exposes them to predators and we all can have just as much fun with our birds if we dont fly anymore after all we know that the best kits never fly in comps becuase of the predators will eat them we can even have a show competition on the internet by everyone posting a picture of the bird they enter and having a judge like nick pick the winner tony i hope you make a new club i know everyone will join i vote for you for president

Hey Dago, I think you are confused, who said flying is NOT the way to select your stock? I never did and never will. Flying is the PARAMOUNT method for determining what should go into the stock loft.
Let me repeat it in case you missed it: Flying is the PARAMOUNT method for determining what should go into the stock loft.
Losing your best birds at the alter of competition? I don't know...
I think you are reading what you want into my words on other posts. LOL I know, I have done that many times myself and caught foot in mouth disease, so don't worry about it kid...it goes away. LOL ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

HUH?????? What "fun" would we have if we didnt fly our birds? Thats what this is all about. Heck ,If I didn`t want to fly them I could just hang 20 or 30 pictures of birds in the loft and wouldn`t have to feed them.
Flying them "outside" is the true "judge" of how well we are doing "inside" the loft." A picture is worth a thousand words" does NOT apply here. ---------- Butch @ Sundance Roller Lofts

Hey Dago, okay, now I understand better... Dago, please read my posts and understand that no one, least of all me, is saying do not fly in competition.
A young fancier like yourself could probably benefit from having a local roller mentor that is passing on all the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in rollers, not just win a competition at all costs.
I wish the NBRC would have just such a mentoring program, it could if it wanted to... ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

WHY HAVE ROLLERS IF YOU CAN'T FLY THEM. THAT'S JUST CRAZY. THE ONLY WAY TO STOCK A BIRD IS TO FLY IT.
