The wind the other day was South West about 10-15mph and they put on a clinic for anyone. Midway though this show they did the famed waterfall effect. Coming to almost a stop. Facing the wind the birds started with just one rolling down then the rest of the kit seemed to follow suit, I was seeing there version of a waterfall. All I could do was drop my lower jaw and lips and say WOW! It was pure eye candy to me. I was sure proud of them that day.

Sweet bro, Ya just gotta love it.With the seasons changing the birds getting thru the moult their performance should improve in a big way. Least ways that what I am experiencing. The last primary is aaaalmost in on all the birds. A few are still full of blood and a little sore. Probably why I had more outbirds than usual. How bout yours? ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

Velo99,
Yup seems like they are spinning more as they come out of the molt, I have been mixing Safflower as an extra on top of there feed. This seems to being paying off now.

All seeds that contain high oil content are good for birds during the molt

That is not really waterfalling...water falling is more like one bird...then three...then two...then 1 about a split second apart. If one dumps....then a whole group dump ...then I would count the whole group as a break and not count the single that rolled first...you would not count it because it was not scorable....so if 1 dumped and then two seconds later 8 dumped...I would give you an 8 as long as the 8 jerked the chain together.
As for waterfalling....true warerfalling is like this....put some water in a bowl...put 20 pieces of cereal in the bowl...then slowly dump the water out...the cereal will fall over the edge in little groups or one at a time...like..doink...doink doink doink......doink...doink....picture your birds rolling like that....that is waterfalling...So you were most likely getting a bird or two jerk the chain and then the whole kit would dump....to me...and that is just me...true waterfalling is groups of less then five dumping more then a second apart. If they all dump within a second...one one thousand one...according to the rules...that is a break...within a second of the first bird...and the birds that break together better dump together....of course you have to be there....
rock and roll

JT,
Today they flew high and was up a long time. The extra oil is helping from the Safflower. I still feed them there normal feed and add the Safflower as an extra. They love it. After about 10 minutes I pull the feed bag and when I do, its all gone, as they say good to the last seed. :)
