How long have you been working with this family? Do you ever think you’ll bring in any other color?

Hey Rollerman, no, I do not have any recessive reds or dun Ruby Rollers. I do have the spread modifier gene giving me lavendars out of the Ash Reds and and last year the family started giving black selfs out of the Blue Series birds.
However, Sal Estrada shipped me a recessive red cock that arrived today that traces back to some of the same stuff mine do. I also found out today that my foundation cock: "903" is only like 7 generations removed from Pensom's 514 Hen.
I now have the papers that show it. While this was never important to me when I started up my family and developed my Ruby Roller strain, it was cool to actually see the birds and who owned them on a pedigree record. At this point in my career, it means more to me than when I first got them.
The names on my pedigrees: Sal Estrada, Homer Corderre, Monty Neible, Bill Torres, Dave Sanchez, Hans Roettenbacher, Charlie Saldana, Joe Houghton, Mike Gordon, Richard Espinoza, Chuck Zeller, Bruce Cooper and Bill Pensom.
When I mention in my publication: "How To Breed Better Rollers" and I recommend that step one is to start with the best you can get, I did not realize "I" was starting with rollers down from some of THE BEST stock in the country!
Needless to say, I am thrilled to learn of the connection Ruby Rollers have with the top names in the roller pigeon hobby. They are following in fine footsteps. ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria

That’s cool, I have paper work on my Plona family that go all the way back to the original imports. When I first got my Plona birds, my noise got pushed up a little, but now that I see the pedigrees in there true light, it’s has straitened out pretty much. I have to agree they are fun to look at, but should have a warning attached to them, saying beware birds may appear lager then life. good luck with your new birds. Duane
