Q: Rollers that havent flown much,Now i see the birds roll real great sometimes then other times not so good, Do you think that they can perfect the roll at a later time. Russ,,,, Ragin Rollers.........

Sure.
Rollers are a lot like people, like athletes. Getting the most out of the rollers is a trick. Feeding, routine, conditioning, and rest play big parts of this equation. I jog in the evenings. Usually about 3 to 4 miles per day. Same route, every time. Sometimes, depending on how I feel, I make the run a little longer. I had two days off, got a lot of rest, and have been eating well. When I ran last night, I finished four miles and thought, "Well that is not enough." Then I ran two more miles.
My point is this. If you do the dame routine with your birds day after day they can plateau. You have to find what they are lacking, or what the have too much of and make the correct adjustments. One thing you should consider, your rollers will never roll at their best day in and day out. It just doesn't work that way. They aren't machines, they can only do so much physically. As the handler, it is up to you to make the adjustments.

Thank milo, These birds are less than one year old, thought that with a little more trainnig they might get better..it looks like they are,but maybe a little rest is what they need... Ragin Rollers.............
