Well,
This passed weekend I judged region 9C for the Fall Fly. 9C is the Coastal region of Calfironia...Bay area...I judged in San Pablo, Vallejo, Richmond, Oakland, Monterey and some other areas.
It was great fun!! The guys from 9C are awesome guys. Only in pigeons you get the many walks of life. From the guys in the hood to the guys on the hill...we all talked birds, watched the kits and hung out. It was an honor judging them and I hope I can do it again.
There were some nice kits put up. Mike Wolden and Ramsey Ajiouni. Mike Flew the two best kits with scores in the 270's...his B-team beat his A-team. Ramsey had the second kit and his kit was smoking with 20mph winds...it was like they did not even notice the wind..LOL..He was in the 230's. The other kits showed great potential but the wind messed them up...pushed them to far away to really judge...but most of those kits scored there points in the first couple of minutes and then they were gone.
They were such good sports....while the kits were away from the wind...they just started rolling Parlor rollers....Robert Ross had a falcon that just tore into his birds......JJ had some good birds but they flew to fast....but man did he have a nice set up. Anyway...here are the photos.
Chor Vang from this site came with me on Saturday and was my time keeper. He took these photos.
JJ's loft...he is the big dude in the warm up suit..Mike Wolden in the hat, with Ronnie on the left in the background and Wayne by the loft door.
Me pretending I am watching the birds...LOL
Ronnie Ross and Mike Wolden..other dude..can't remember
Some of the guys for a group shot..The dude in the Red..Is Mike Allen...the funniest guy I have ever met!!!
The guys kicking back,,,Mike and I talking pigeons
Ronnie and Wayne...Wayne is an Awesome guy..works with youth in the Ghetto of Richmond....He took me on a tour of his old neighborhood and opened my eyes to a whole different world...To be honest I was scared to death....Just kidding..I salute Wayne with his work he does for the Youth.
ANother of me
Ramsey and JJ Ramsey has won a fall fly in 98 I think...
Rock and ROLL
