Gave away some of my Turner breeders today! Kicking myself, cause I gave good money for them.
This ole boy drove about an hour and a half today looking to buy some rollers! Like myself, he raised rollers as a youngster and wanted to get back into them. At first,I was like "no way"! Then, after a while, I started thinking about where I was at a few years ago, and remembered some good people helping me out and then, I'm not sure what happened next! Next thing I know,I'm handing him some of my breeders and thinking, if I'm gonna give him some birds, its gonna be birds worth putting his time and effort into! At least I hope so! He asked me what I wanted for them and I said"just promise to start out somebody down the road the way I helped you"! I'm pretty sure that I made his day!
Hope the "Big Man" upstairs was watching today! Felt like I was giving away my children! LOL

Thank you all!I was already passing my blessing on, right Joe! And it does feel good! Hope to do it many more times down the road!
Joe,I have about a dozen youngsters of your line in the air right now! Their April/May birds, and they are just starting to come on! They are kitting like glue and look awesome on the perch! Couldn't be happier with them! Can't believe the way they look now after the molt! Their the reason I was confident in letting the Turners go! Planning on calling you soon about feeding! Good to hear from ya, bro! Hope your new buisness is good! Family too! ---------- Val

A few years ago a guy came to me and asked to buy some birds,i looked at his car when he pulled up and said to myself im not going to take his gas mony. He picked out 10 birds he realy like, when it was time for him to go,he asked how much,i told him he could have them for free just dont fly them becouse thy where realy good and he whould get good young out of them. About 3 month later i called him to see how the birds where doing,to my surprize he got rid of them and told me no i got rid of those becouse they where free birds,i met a man everyone was talking about at a show his name is Jerry Higgins so now i have good birds and i spent 800 buck. That realy pissed me off if i would have put mony value he whould have valued them more. My opinion.

Val, You the man!!!!!!!!!!
Hector, dont let the negative actions of others hamper your kindness to others. If that was the case, there would be no good people in this world after dealing with the bad ones daily if I felt the same way.. Just continue helping when possible..I do it all the time, in some way, shape, or form.

Hey Val ,Good Man,Don't kick yourself when you do a good Deed never look back and it would truly be from the heart and you will definitely get rewarded from the man above.I know what you mean when you say it felt like giving away my children, that's how I feel when the falcon takes away one of my rollers and feeling helpless it's the worst part, Good luck with your Joe Urbon birds,i just got 20 youngsters from Dave Henderson ,second day I flew them they flew 45 minutes and thats cause i call them down strong flyer's and they kit so tight you can't even count them.they put a smile on my face imagine when they start to roll,I be in heaven. Hey Hector, I think there are times to "Pay It Forward" and times to get the hard earned dough you deserved for your labor & efforts.I'm sure you've heard the stories of something paid for being more valuable to that person-well that seemed the case here. You just got snookered by a sneak, he could have brought them back to you. This won't happen to you again, I know from experience, you'll think long and hard about the exchange. I always tell them to promise to give them back if you don't want them, especially if they look like they have a job and thier over 20 years old. Most people with money don't necessarily look the part especially adults! Best of Luck, Otis
