I've never heard of an successful results! If it was likely to work, I think it would be a common practice! Just my way of thinking though!

I ones try it when I was around 13 years old. I bread a parlor cock to a hen that I stray in. The hen was a nice spiner around 10-15 feet but not frequent. I bread around 10 birds from this pair. Most of the birds couldn't even fly because they will just roll too frequent. I got 2 that did fly but when they roll they will just come all the way down. Roll downs only no good kit bird. If you want to breed Roll downs breed them.

Mating a parlor on a roller only works if you are breeding for rare colored rollers. It does put the roll in the color!! KGB

Back in the fiftees a friend of mine mated a parlor roller to a birmingham roller. The young started rolling short at first and were spinning thirty feet less than one year. They did spin straight but they were exwing and average velosity. Even if a person mated them back to a birmingham roller it wouldnt be wise unless your breeding for a new color. The biggest majority of roller breeders dont cross other breeds to their rollers. Ray

Nothing fancy, we could bring are own sandwiches and drinks! Just get straight down to business!

Yang, I am Doua Xiong, I breed parlor rollers and I have tried crossing Parlors once, the only results were different types of performance but I can garuntee Rolldown out of a roller and parlor crossing. Sometimes you will get an offspring that performs like a parlor tumbler, and only roll 1 off the ground, sometimes you might get an offspring that performs like a true russian roller that can only fly a certain height and will spin back down, sometimes you will get an offspring that will be able to fly but I gaurantee you that the offspring will hit your neighbor's roof unless if it learns how to correct itself, rarely will you have one that will correct itself and if you breed that performer back to your rollers, you get nothing but rolldowns. basically I would advise you not to cross parlor rollers with rollers unless if you are breeding for a certain color for your parlor rollers, because the roll genes in the parlor rollers are too strong and what ever they breed with, those offsprings will end up going to the ground.. I advise you not to breed parlor rollers with birmingham rollers unless if you want to add a new color addition to your parlorrollers and that will take several years of inbreeding to correct the performance with colorbreeding.....

Do I really want to hear this? So which breed gets disrespected; the Parlor or the Birmingham?

Just some more crap to put in the the cull sack.

Don't waste your time and don't waste ours.
