I heard of rollers that rolls forward before when i was little but then again i heard it again last night when my uncle came and visited. He said his inlaw bought a roller but it actually rolls forward. Does anyone know what kind of breed are these and what they are call. It does front flip in a straight line about 5-10 of them.

Yang, your uncle must either be blind or he just discovered a new breed of pigeons. All tumblers and rollers will only revolve in a Backflip formation not frontflips. Sometimes when a bird rolls too fast and you don't catch the roll of the bird you may think it is what you say "rolling forwards", I do not mean to intimidate you or your uncle, but forward rollers do not exist currently, just an illusion to the eye if you do not watch the roller from the beginning...

Nrhoua (Doua) Xiong,
You might be right about the illusion of the eye.
When I was a kid (early 70s) I remember going to a friends house and he told me to watch a bird he claimed would flip forward. Still to this day I think I saw that bird do just that, but after all these years I question what I saw as a kid because I have never seen this happen since.

PS. I did not inhale....lol

Your uncle was right. Those are Russian/Ukrainian Tumblers. They roll forward.

Thanks Jay,
You have just answered a life long question I had about what I saw as a kid.
The older I got, the more I did not believe that I actually saw that...lol

Ray heres a passage of the only forward flipping pigeon wether it was a polish orliks or not you saw i dunno.

It is in the air where the Orliks and other Tutcheresi show their true mettle, and all birds should be valued primarily upon their flying ability. In the first place, the terms "Tumbler" or "Highflier" are incorrect. "Tumbler" implies that the birds execute backward (or even forward) somersaults - something no Orlik, Nikolajevski or other member of this class should do. The act of tumbling is to be regarded as a severe fault and any birds which show such actions should be destroyed outright
