Well he got me again (Coopers Hawk). It was a sqeeker this time. He or she reached through 1" round wire and got it. I ran after it and shouted and it let go but the bird was already gone. Man I hate them bad. Ken Houston Tx

Hey Ken sorry to hear that, see if you can cover around the kitbox with wire or white fence i have seen in some boxes so this won't happen again , If it happen when they are up in the air, its all game up there,you can't control that but when it happens in the kitbox its up to us to prevent it..sorry again.. Ralph....

" He got me again"....What!!!...Ken, As you know, our birds rely on us to provide security and protection from raptors. The use of 1/2 x 1/2 wire on all vertical surfaces of open areas where our birds are kept is a mandatory requirement. You failed your birds with your use of inferior wire. Just think about what the other birds are thinking now. I know you can't wait to replace all that 1" diameter wire! Do it now! Best of Luck! Otis

It sure looks like I will replace the wire. I love them Birm. Rollers to much to not do it. I have some Orientals for next Year. Ken
