Hi its a stupid question from a new comer. Well I have a problem. I have this cock that got lost for two days and came back. The pair ( cock & hen ) had eggs and were doing great till my kid opened the loft and let out some birds. The cock was one of them. When he came back two days later the hen did not want him but he still sticks around will he help the hen raise the young or will she do it on her own. I'll appreciate any information. ANOTHER STUPID QUESTION!!!!!

If they start to fight you have a problem. I don't know why she gave up so easily on him. They should come around.

Hey Karen,
Never a stupid question.
That cock probably will not sit the eggs if he was gone for a couple of days. If you got other pairs setting you can place one egg underneath each of two pair. They can raise three.....or toss the eggs and let the pair begin anew.
I would not fly birds that you are wanting to breed; but it is your call, of course.
