Sal, where are you living?

I would have entered but I just have 14 birds in my A kit and I only had 10 days notice to prepare! I have to work 7-12 hr night shifts within those 10 days! Jeff Dooley said to go for it, they were looking good to him, but I just figured that being my first time in comp, they wouldn't be tuned up! After my fly over last week, I had about 1/2 a dozen hawks chase them back the next morning and I've been locked down every since! Just didn't think it was meant to be!

Excuses, excuses!

I let them fly this evening and they were looking good, now I'm even more depressed!

Anyways, I've heard that Ferril Busing, Randy Wilson, Bob Lee, Trevor Rosenberry, Ben Winkleman, and maybe Bob Anderson! Couple of others that I didn't recognize the names! I will get a fly schedule anytime and I will post it!

Dooley really wanted to fly also, but he only has 12 kit birds period!

Val, I am actually close to the Oklahoma border, about a 20 minute drive from my house, I am in Van Buren Arkansas, Ferrell is a great guy and always invites me to participate with you guys down there! I think we will have a couple of us here on this side! Val you should maybe just go on the fy just to meet all these guys if you already dont know them all, and watch some birds fly! I will be out there did last year! I had a overfly myself a week right before the fall fly lost my #1, still hurts!!LOL

I hear ya Sal,. I lost (5) of my Urban youngsters, 12 total birds! Hurts!

I am waiting for a fly schedule from Ferrill. I am gonna try to hit the closer flys. Have to work that Fri.-Mon. nights, 12 hr shifts! Hard to travel and miss sleep! LOL

Did it today, had to take my son to a bone specialist in Tulsa, no sleep! Got about 150,000 barrels of oil passing through my terminal tonight! Already on my second monster energy drink! LOL Gonna be a long one!

Relief terminal operator/ electrician for a large pipeline co! Our two terminals move about 20 million bbls a month (rec and del combined). In the process of building 19 more tanks, (5 million bbls storage)! Seven major oil companies within a couple mile radius! If I understand right, its the lagest combined storage facility in the world!

Nope, gas prices aren't my fault, just a pee-on! LOL

Kenny, the pig traps are at the East facility across the road! They recieve the majority, send it over here and we blend it to a speck barrel for the refineries and send it out!

A "pig" is a plug that they push through the line to clean it! It fits the inside of a pipeline and pushes the sludge and parafin from building on the walls of a pipe.

A "pig trap" is just a place to divert the pig out of the line and catch it, to clean it and send it back to the front and start the process all over again!

Val,
I knew what a pig was instantly. I haul the stuff that propels the pigs. Liquid nitrogen. Our express services group has the high pressure (heaters and pumps) rigs that push those pigs.
How small is this world getting.
Gregg.
