was just wondering would their be enough people interested in doin this again. last i heard was dan and don oulette,s
handled this back in the hay days. i will contact dan and don but would like more feedback from all those interested
as i recall the fly would start from british columbia down
to san diego.one fly one winner no prelimes.

Central, I have a question, who does the judging? Is it done locally or do you have one judge that covers the whole fly? Central I do not remember so excuse the dumb question!

well i was talking to jack myers about getting this thing started. it seems to me that we need at least a few people
involved to handle such an event.such as the north to south with in a weeks time.depending on the amount of participation and entry cost. it would defenetly be a great event to start all over again.the east coast have theirs in may. which is call the burnoff. i like the concept one fly one winner no waiting around for weeks or months for the winning results. its bad enough having to prepare our birds for the world cup and fall fly just once and then do it again in the worst time.for example the prelims are flown to early in the spring not enough time to prep the birds due to the (birds of prey) migrating.
and in the fall its the birds are still going through the molt.and the do it again when the (birds of prey)are coming back.
i would love to see the kits in peak form and at their very best once. because i know that in the other flys guys
that qualify may not be able to fly due to moult or bop.decimating their kit.this way we are all for once in the same field. depending again on participation. and the
amount of time the certaint judge may be able to be out on the road for this event. in the past they were 45 to 55 kits flown we belive that it might be more close to a 120 this time.if any of you have or are interested in joining with this effort please post up and i will get more info on this as we contenue to lay the foundation for this event

Sounds like fun.
I think that the entire West Coast would be a little much for no prelims. There is way too much difference in temp, molt and BOP migration between B.C. and Southern Calf.
That being said the only thing that would stop me from flying in it would be if it were scheduled during my BOP lockdown time.

When the birds are in tip-top shape from April till July is the time my guess.

Ray,
The I-5 fly was what the Northwest International had grown into. I will try to find out history on the Northwest International. Maybe someone on this list knows.
