Do any of you guys test the air for sharks before you guys fly? I sometimes would let two fly for a few minutes before i let the whole kit out. I've found it successful only on few occasions because when the whole kit is out, the sharks come. It's as if the the sharks are smart enough to wait for the whole kit? Any other expierences?

I have my good spinners in Lock down, I can't risk any of them. If the BOP is out he will attack 1 or 20 flying. The more you have the more attraction and easier pray. I let two birds out today before releasing my #2 kit and the BOP took one in less than a minute.
He took my droper, the one that couldn't fly very well. I have lost two birds this month already. I have to fly all my young birds in till they prove them selfs, I can lock them up.
BOP are very smart and there is nothing we can do to trick them.

well this morning i flew my kit after the guy a few blocks from me flew his racers i was watching his birds with the binocoulars for a while no hits. soon as i let my birds out got hit. guess they dont like racers .cheers trev

I have gotten hit every days for the last three weeks. My A-Team hasn't flown in 4 weeks and will be locked down for about 3 more months. I save my culls to test the air this time of the year before I let out my young birds if I fly them. Most of my culls are birds that don't want to kit well and I don't have a lot of time for them, so the culls have there use also. I still have two kits of young birds that I try to fly.

I usually go out there and if you do not here no birds chirpin there is trouble in the air, something that John Jones shared with me 10 years ago! I think it is pretty consistent, one of the other things I will do is fly 5 birds at a time when the BOP'S are real bad.

This is the season the sharks are there it is a crap shoot when you release them
