A tight flying kit? A kit with a lot of frequent activity? Some deep rolling birds? A short tight spinning bird (10 to 20 feet)?
Tell me (truthfully) what you really like; I won't tell anyone. Think about it before you lie and say things that you think other people want to hear to hold you high on that plate of esteam. I will show you mine if you let me see yours......go ahead and show me your hands.

When I had pure Bob Scott birds they were fast, long cast, deep 30-100 feet, kit good, not as tight kit, nice quality. I like this birds for my personal enjoyment. Those 100' rollers sure drop jaws. They were not as frequent around ones a minute. This were the 1220 line and Pure whites from Bob. My friend let me borrow them for a while and he has them righ now. I only stay with the best two cock breeders. That I still have now.
Compare to now I have comp birds which I also like because they are more frequent and work harder.

What I like and what I have, is two different things! I like a tight kit with all 20 doing 30ft fast ball up roll and back to the kit gather themselfs and do it again for 20min. then land. and trap and do it again two days latter. and never get hit by hawks and have the same kit birds for 7yrs!!!! Now show me your! ---------- Tapp

Velocity First. Hyperceleric=hyper:very active, celerity:quickness. A friend of mine coined that phrase a long time ago. It applied then, still does.
Twenty to thirty five feet. I live in town and breeding for them deeper than that only feeds the hawks when they roll down. And if you breed for the deep ones, you will have rolldowns. They become easy meals and the hawks tend to watch for them. Tigth kitting is a must.
Now that I have gotten the base family established again, I am really tightening the screws reference quality. My numbers are down and my quality is up.
Frequency, I like something more than once a minute. Twice a minute and back to the kit like a slingshot. Oh, and I want it all in color birds.
Hope the wife is doing better. Gregg.

I like birds that are high velocity (25-30') spinners with the appearance of a small ball and a whole in the side when visible at the correct angle. Tight kitting is a must even though birds must be judged on their individual merit.

For an individual bird performance I like one that above all, rolls with great form. Wings up in good position and is smooth into and out of the roll, absolutely clean. I am willing to give up a little bit of speed and depth to get pretty style. Of course if the birds rolls clean and pretty, faster is better, 30 feet. Ive seen a few birds that rolled with terrific speed but it wasn't pretty. It almost looked as though it hurt ... lol. Deep birds are exciting, but sometimes I think it is a rolldown waiting to happen. Besides I cant keep holding my breath that long very often.
For a team performance I love big breaks. The kind where you can see it coming a mile away. They set-up, stall and Bang! Dump it big. Thats the ultimate.
Just my opinions.

I really like what is being said here......the description is awesome and easy to imagine. Squint your eyes way down and visualize........"stall.....and Bang!" Activity!!!!

Nick, for the most part, almost every kit of BR's I have ever witnessed are close kitting. For me, the frequent action of a kit is what I get my kicks from. As long as they are scoreable depths, with alot of action, I am good to go.
