Hello mr luna,
in reading a post "how you got started in rollers" that has recently been restarted , i saw your post and was shocked to see the name Bill Ferro,
i grew up in garden grove,and got started in rollers by a man named "bill", i could not remember his last name until i saw it in your post, it almost has to be the same man.
does any of the following ring a bell?
he lived between 9 th street and garden grove high shcool.
i was allways greeted by a huge white goose.
and he had a line of white rollers that was his pride and joy.
same man ???????

Mike yes that was Bill, he had a brother ,Harold that lived in Colton. He did take pride in those whites he had gotten them Paul Platz, do you remember his resessive reds that he got from Whitney .His birds are a part of my family, since 1980. Where abouts did you live?

What a small world this at times !
im glad to hear that bill`s birds are a part of your family.
i had allways hoped that they found a good home after bill passed, the last time i saw bill and his birds were around 1975,my freshmen year in high school,wow yet another reminder that i am old and how fast time flys.
I grew up not far from bills, euclid & lampson in "grove".
do you ever post any pics of your birds? i would love to see some!

Mike, The birds I had got from Bill were the ones from before his passing at the times he was getting his birds stloen left and right,a Paul Platz white cock bird ,a silver bar grandson from a bird Pensom,(he had named OLD BILL)that he had given him and few red mottles that he made from the Platz birds and the Whitney's . There couple of guy's here-ARTM07 and R reyes that have posted pics of birds that go back to the line I have. I will post some pics of some of my birds in the near future.

I enjoyed reading your intereset in Rollers and the biirds that were posted. My newer English stock are marked like that black and white cock but the majority are larger.Ray
