Congrats Sal!

I made it today! Worked all night, drove all day, and made it home in time to change cloths and get back to work! All four kits that I saw today were just devistated by the 25-35 mph wind today, but it was worth every min. Had a great time with everybody! (Ferril and June Bussing, Eldon Chaney, Ben Wenkleman, and Jeff Dooley)I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Great time with great people!

Thank you Mr. Cheney, for all the one on one time you spent with me! It ment alot to me!

I'm flying next year, no excuses!

I will post pics tommorrow!

I was very impressed! He took me right under his wing and discussed a lot of issues with me! I'm not shy, I ask questions, and he did a good job of explaning! Didn't feel at all, like he was forcing me to think his way, just gave me alot to think about! It was a good time!

Val, thanks! And I agree Eldon is full of information! He touched about every breeder I own and basically told me wich ones were the best with out asking! He got 90% of them correct, Eldon called me last night and told me how much he enjoyed my kit and to lock them down till spring, he is just full of positives! I really enjoyed his company and how freely he talked about the birds! NO secrets! Sal

Yeah, Ben lived on a hill, with the 25-35 mph winds, gust were like 120, we kept them in site for about a min! They probably would have scored some points, they were very active during that min! LOL They were gone before he ever said "time in"!

Maybe not 120! LOL But it was windy!

Val,

Thanks for the pics. I live where there once was a cotton field and the wind is none stop. I use to not fly when it was windy, but I have to now or I won't fly at all.

Are you going?

Quick, that is Ben's place! He lives west of OK City out where it starts opening up and gets a lot flatter! We didn't discuss the BOPs there, but I think he lurks on this site, maybe he will chime in and answer!

When I lived in Western Ok. years ago, we had plenty of BOPs, but they were more of the larger variety such as the red tails! Didn't have as many trees out there, so the ambush type BOPs, like the coopers, weren't so efficient at their game!

Yes, Sal and his family came to our futurity fly! It was great to meet them! They were a nice looking family and they all had smiles on their faces! I think Ferrell gave them boys a pr of parlor rollers and they were on cloud 9!

Sal and I had a chance to get away from the crowd a couple of times and just visit! I was very impressed with him! Very easy to get comfortable around and just talk! I hope to get to see him a lot more in the future!

He had nothing but "good" to say about you also, Rudy! Hope we get to meet some day too!

I took a few pics, but I haven't even had time to look at them! Glad you reminded me, I will make time tonight!
