It is a good idea... Start out with mother to son and father to daughter.

its bril to b on a site jus tlkin bout rollers hopefuly i wil learn alot from ppl.jus to clarify i am not from milan but from the uk.my favourite team is ac milan dats y the name.wouldnt you get roll downs if you breed to closly togetha?

Breeding too closely will give you a lot of things. Rolldowns is one; web feet another; funky feathering is another. The key here is the words "too closely".

Milan, When you say too closely,bro to sis is too closely.Then you could have the defects Nick mentioned pop up.Anything else within a family is ok,daughter to father(from what I've read)is one of the more successful matings.Rolldowns can often occur when you mate 2 hot birds together. ---------- Kelly

Inbreed and line breed keeps the the blood good and strong line breed is good but becareful not to back your self in a corner when inbreeding like many have done in the past

what is the best size for a kit box as i am in the process of making some new ones.....thanks for all the advice every little helps.iv just started keeping rollers so its all new to me although iv had pigeons for the last 15 years

Milan, Inbreeding or line breeding will not in itself cause problems. It will bring out whatever recessive genes you have--- be they good or bad. It will also concentrate the dominant genes. DB.

yeah we can stil be friends {milo} we have got pigons to talk about.u wouldnt want to talk about footy as milan are far more superior than lazio.anybody know how to breed good colours

kitbox dimensions---4ft wide-4ft high and 3 ft deep so you can reach those birds on the back perch. ---------- Kelly
