How often do you get a stiff Parlor? As often as Birminghams; more often; rarely?

As a rule the parlors mainly perform at a young age and tend to go stiff as they age. Whithin a good bloodline there should be a high ratio of decent performers due to the fact that the breed is basically "set" but one must still breed long slow and straight to long slow and straight for best results.

Depends on these things: how the parents perform, what backround the bird has, how the fancier conditioned them, how they were rolled, what age they were rolled, what they are fed.. etc. The way I breed em, only maybe 2 out of 9 that are stiff or parlor tumblers...

Nick have you thought about calling Paul Gamino concerning Parlar Roller performance? He is a good friend from California. Ray
