Hi Tapp.
Good thing your not coming to my place, cause my birds are nothing to watch. Just a bunch of misfits in the sky, when the hawks move on (Lockdown mode) Inbread, outbreeds, halfbreeds, fullbreeds, misfits, just a bunch of loners together in the sky.
Sometimes I wonder why I even feed them. But sometimes they do surprize me and spin, just a little or enoght to keep me happy and feeding them. :)

Jim, I can still visit you. I've never met a pigeon man or woman I didn't like. Besides I flew my A team yesterday, first time since Oct 25th My squeaks are doing more!!!But They fly almost every day. The A team are fat and out of shape only flew about 30 min. Then dinked around on the roof for 10 min. Not alot of rolling, A little over fed! But I have to be carefull when I fly. Make's me nerves! Next time I fly them I'll skip the feed the day before so they trap quick! ---------- Tapp

Tapp, Kim, I've seen both. Which do you prefer? I will try to type coherently but I'm on my third glass of Carmenere after an hour and a half discussion/gentlemanly arguement and wide range of topics with a friend in the hobby. Bob is a forty five minute drive. Bob was/is my mentor and the man who started me with a little lavender hen back in Jan 83. She was IRA 82 505. Started a family with her. I started Bob back twice. He and Di are great friends. Think about what Wendell means to you and your family of birds, that's Bob. He could walk into my loft and ask for any bird. I've been able to just about do that with him. As a matter of fact, I will be taking a cock bird up to him in a couple of days. Many people think that without birds there is no life. I tend to agree but with the caveat that without the friends that came with same, the birds would not be quite the same. I'd still have them, but a certain part of my life would definitely be missing. Whenever you get over this way, plan on staying for a day or two. I am on lock down right now. The big lady was sitting on the south wing of my loft this morning studying the menu thru the wire. She almost begged me to fly some birds. The robbins, songbirds and blackbirds are gone. Some starlings and sparrows are all that remain. I've never seen the local bird population as low as it is now. She is going hungry and I hope with the cold snap that she will be forced to migrate to eat. She did not produce young this year and while she had a young adult male here for a little while this fall, she is now alone again. But she defends here territory so it may be a while before she leaves. I can only hope. You would be welcome anytime. Just give me a call. You can get the number from Bob. Looking forward to your visit. Gregg.
