Orientals are not a large group kitter; the performance is different; the Orientals carry thier wings and position thier tail differently.
It is believed that the Oriental was part of the make up of the Birmingham 200 to 300 years ago and may explain why the almond color pops up in the Birmingham.

Just my opinion but ?,i have yet to see a kit of brs that are tight together, badges are the only tight kitting birds i know of,they dont roll so deep but make up for that with quickly re-kitting and rolling again and again, the lads from brum uk have this off to a fine art,i just wish you guys over there could see a good kit in action,Jim uk.

One of the main differences between a Roller and a Flying Oriental Roller is that the FOR have more of areial show that they do. They are also able to out manuver the BOP. And they don't do very much rolling like a BR does. Not much a kitting bird either. Some are much larger then the BR too. ---------- Fly High and Roll On Paul

Jim You need to get round some flys over here in the UK lol and see some tight kits of rollers. I totally disagree with the kittin comment theres many kits ive watched that are soooo tight but then again its hard to tell somtimes if your winding us guys up or not. ---------- Regards W@yne UK

He's trying, but not getting it done..Those of us that live on the better side of the pond know better than to think there is any merit to his comment.

No wind up guys, when i have seen kits of birds in brum uk they have been unbelieveably tight kitters they would take some beating ,(remember where the true brs originated guys )some of the long stagers up the midlands have kits to die for and have kept the same strain donkeys years, only occasionally introducing new blood and then only from known breeders, i was once offered some birds from a kit years ago and because i did not like the look of them (odd-eyes ,miss-marked,some grouse-legged etc) i turned them down, later when i saw them flying in a kit i could have kicked myself, they were mouth watering, but i never got a second chance ,i must have upset the bloke by turning him down the first time and he never offered again ?, jim uk.
