Hello All, it appears that some are a bit upset over comments made by others about posted pictures of muffs, crested rollers, etc. I want to “THANK” each one who takes the time to post roller pictures and share your love of pigeons with the rest of us.

Please accept my apologies for what others are saying to upset you. It is not my intention to see anyone made fun of, mocked or put down for what you want to do with your pigeons.

There are agendas being promoted and criticisms made, but please don’t think that anyone from my end is trying to hurt or offend you or anyone else.

In the future I will be contacting those who blatantly violate the posting policy and talk things over with them. I would hope that those with a concern about a post made by someone that you believe violates the posting policy, would use the REPORT POSTING VIOLATION link provided on the main All Roller Talk page.

I put this link here to give people a way of reporting something not quite right. If no one uses it, I may feel that all the posts are okay and not edit or moderate them. I want to make this site work for everyone who wants a site that welcomes everyone’s input, ideas and opinions.

I have recently been very busy writing software programs to make RPDC more efficient in filling orders, restocking and tracking business transactions. This will allow me more time to spend with all of you on the site and to work to make it better.

Unfortunately, when my schedule becomes very overwhelmed with critical projects like recently, I cannot closely monitor All Roller Talk, this is when the civility on the board can suffer and I accept the blame for this. I wish more would encourage each other and show appreciation and respect for a fellow pigeon fancier.

Val tries to do what he can but he is not me. I think he does an outstanding job and gets kicked around some and he is a trooper for putting up with it. I wish some would cut him some slack for trying to help me out.

Since January 2004, Roller-Pigeon.Com has served and will continue to serve a very wide variety of roller fanciers, from purists, color breeders, beginners and old-timers. Yesterday we had over 1,400 unique site visitors who visited pages on this site to the tune of almost 10, 500.

Last year on November 1, 2006, we had over 2,628,053 page view since 2004. As of right now, today, we have a total of 7,554,828! That’s an increase of almost 5 million in the last 12 months!

So you should understand, you are reaching with your posts many roller fanciers, young, old, brand new and those with many many years of experience. Your words are being read and analyzed by some of the best and brightest the roller hobby has to offer.

Know this, NOT everyone who reads your posts is gonna respond, but they will have an opinion of you based on what you say and HOW you say it!

In this group there is a wide variety of personalities and experience and knowledge, trying to get and keep everyone on the same page is an impossible task. To get along, we all have to show some class and dignity toward our fellow fanciers.

I ask each one of you to become a rising tide and help raise-up those around you so that we all might stand to benefit from what each other has to offer.

Thank you,
Tony Chavarria

Yah Russ, probably.

Jay may be right, the forum may be becoming a "show and tell" and people like me need to move on. Maybe I need to find some of those "pillars" that have left and pout with them(LOL).

I have re-evaluated my roller belief system and have decided to change my system.....maybe a little flip-flopping is called for(LOL) What do ya think, Russ?

I will crawl back to my hole now and place my thumb in my mouth and morn the days gone by.........LOL

Weird, ain't it?

We are here to learn and the only way is to respect each other. No one knows everything there is about rollers, and every one learns new things every day.

We need to respect every ones Ideas and the only way to learn is from are mistakes.

Many have done that and been there, let other do the same.

we forget that the new flyer's are reading these post and when they see us putting each other down thats gonna make them not want to post,or ever get involve thinking they might get attack .lets just say things that are good and if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say it,if someone post a pic with a bird with muff and you don't like it just say keep them on a perch there feet will stay cleaner..lets get along ,rolling is the name of the game...is not if he can roll is how good can he roll...or how deep can he roll.

Nick, Hang in there buddy. It is just that the BOP are thick and the winter is upon us, people have more times on their hands to log on and participate to kill time. It happens every winter around this time and lasts tell February.

Have you noticed that only when a controversial topic pops up, you get people that have not posted here in ages and new ones start posting to support their comrades!!! Maybe we should mildly stir up things to overcome stagnation or just avoid discussing performance issues(lol). I am glad I made a comment about those jumbo muffs, it brought the crest, yellows and muffed crested at one time. That was great. And, thanks Paul, my hat is off to you being a high school teacher in L.A. That is a tuff job.

So Nick, when we discuss performance issues such as feeding, housing, management or what have you, only a hand full of posts are posted. Those topics are not what the participants want to read, I guess. We just need to sit on the side line for a while and just read, look at other fanciers birds for a change. Maybe we can expand on our learning simply by listening. Good luck.

Nice work raising the bar for RPDC, Tony. You have had to make some difficult decisions in doing so. The naysayers continue to do their work of spreading criticism, judgement and self-righteousness on other lists, but the more you keep your guests focused on the objective, the closer you will come to meeting it! Onward and upward!
YITS,
Cliff

Even the most wise and educated can sound like fools if they don't add a touch of humility to what they are trying to say or teach.

Alot of times it comes down to the way some word what they are saying.

I, like everyone else that reads these posts, can tell who the smart asses are, the uneducated, as well as the ones that want to learn. I have read most of the back threads and have seen where several of the current posters have come along way in what they have learned by the way they answer questions.

For the most part, we all respect each other. That respect gets twisted when some disagree with what others say or do.

We will never agree with everyone, so just try to be open minded, and EXCEPT what others do..In the end, it is their feed bill, time, and birds.
