Hector - Personally, I think that we have said it all regarding this issue. I do not think it has anything to do with winning the world cup at all or who the individual is. If a person likes crest that is their prerogative. I am a diehard for the Black Country rollers known in America as Pensom's that spin with high velocity. I hope all is well and have a wonderful thanksgiving!

Each to their own! No matter if their W/C winners or back yard flyers!

Hector, there are stranger things than crests that can show up. I've got a racing homer friend who's been flying for over 40 years and winning a fair share of money. He's had homers that will wing clap and do one single flip. These birds are pure Janssen but where did the flip come from?
This year I bred a bird that only had 3 toes on each foot and no back toe so I can't band him without the ring slipping off. We call him Tripod. As long as he rolls he stays in the kit. I've seen the weebbed feet before but not the tripod.
Strange stuff indeed.

Hi Hector Coya

Where i am from we have a family called Ollie Harris if we inbreed them for stock they sometimes throw a crest.

Alot of the guys stock the crest immediatly i have seen some that they have flown and they sure do roll.

Some thing of interest: in the 70's they imported Ollie Harris cocks one with muffs and the other without. The cocks went to different fanciers the one family is renowed for his muffs ( red check cock ) and the cock without is the family that throws the crest. ( Silver ink spot cock ).
