Kid, You ask some tough questions. And if I read it right, they are honest, not impertinent. From all of the good things that I've heard of the Agent birds and the extent that he has gone to help people, I think your question probably misses the mark in this instance. It may simply be that, as I said in the other thread, Charlie is a really nice guy and may have not been willing to upset anyone, thus telling everyone what they want to hear. Charlie doesn't have/use a computer so he can't answer that question here, but when I talk to him, I will ask him. You'll probably hear it first from Cliff. But I doubt that Steve is trying to take credit for Charlie's win. Just would not fit what I have heard about the man. Gregg.

Kid, Everyone knows that the credit will go to the loft manager for training such a great team. I don't care who you are or where you got your birds from, if you do not have the discipline to train a team of rollers and some luck on your side, chances of winning are slim. That being said, its great to see someone do well with birds you bred. It always makes me feel good to have someone come up to me and tell me about a old bird I raised and how much they enjoyed the bird. One thing for sure, we all share birds in this hobby. Without each other, we would all be backyard breeders, (how boring, lol). IM not quite sure where IM going with this subject but I think your concerned about people wanting to take credit for there family of birds doing good for someone else. I think the rest of us want to know where the birds came from as well. This is a hobby we share together and I don't think anyone is trying to take anything from Charlie. I wish I could have been there!!!!!!
Kid, One last thing, enjoy the birds. ---------- Ray

Well may be he was nice and don't want to upset anybody. But I am impartial to whoes birds they belong to but when I talked to him in several occassions here in Ohio and in NC, he always told me that his birds are Jake N Bake from Wendel Carter who started him out. He also told me he has birds that are called South Carolina birds. I never know he has any of Agent's birds. This is all new to me. I am not trying to start some shit but why would he lie to me. He has nothing to lose or to win by not telling me the truth. Our conversation was under kits flying and we were comparing notes discussing rollers.
Kid, I like you.

My apologies to Steve Agent and the list. As I laid in bed last night rehearsing my discussion with Charlie before falling a sleep, I recall that he told me he started with Agent’s birds and he was happy with his birds. At the time I didn’t know who Steve Agent was. Then he told me after he met Wendal Carter and the NC boys, he liked Wendal’s birds and acquired the Jake N Bake birds along with the SC birds. He told me from the performance and the way the birds were responding to him, he was leaning toward the Jake N Bake side of the family. I honestly don’t know the make up of his kit and I always referenced his birds as the Jake N Bake family because that is what he and everybody in NC refer to them.
Again, my apology to Steve Agent if I jumped the gun earlier. I was wrong and I stand corrected.
Thanks, Jay Alnimer
