You guys no whats really sad about the guys who raise in Cali and other bop infested areas. Is it fair to say that we will never really see the full potential of our birds because of the BOP

My hats off to you fellas. I don't know how you do it under those circumstances. I just lost my first bird in '07 (that I know of), and I was really ticked off. It's a gut-wrenching, sinking feeling to see them make off with your bird. I'm glad I don't have to go throught that on a regular basis. YITS, Cliff

Last fly season I flew part of april pred free then some of may and most of june then the peris were here from mid june till end july, pred free august till mid sept.locked down by mid oct.managed to hold my flyers #s to 56 left for the spring.last spring only had 17 birds total left for the W/C prelims so next year hope things will be better just having an idea now when the bop s are at their peak. ---------- Kel.

I flew my birds about a week ago and I seen one of the most strangest things. As I let them out a Cooper comes from nowhere fast and just bumped the bird. He did not even grab it he just bumped into it. I was like WOW

Not strange at all BigWilly! That's one of the Coppers tactics. It will hit its prey stunning it so that it becomes an easy target.Sometimes they hit so hard the bird drops straight to the ground and the coop doesn't even have to try again.Lunch is waiting for them on the floor!

It is not just the loss of birds that causes problems. I have only been able to promote (2) of my young birds this year before lockdown. They could never settle down to where they could roll. I culled more birds this year due to tree sitting than ever before. They just will not go up and fly with the Peris. Keith
