Hey All, Thanks Donny, Butch, all I have are the birds I raised and the stock birds I got from Tony. I got a late start on my breeding season but flew a 16 bird kit until the b.o.p. shut me down. I just could not afford to lose any more as my fosters and my holdover kit will come from this years breeding. The blue bar hens were really starting to turn it on, tight, fast, make your heart sing! Tony's birds kit very well and are easy to train, I am very pleased with their overall look, attitude, and performance.

Got my first two young Rubys in the nest right now, their about 2 wks along! The parents are first timers and they are doing a great job! Both babies are the same size, and you can reach in and handle the young and the parents don't hardly fuss at all! ---------- Val

The 2007 young birds look well balanced and its a shame you cant fly them often. Hopefully you be able to release them in the near future. Good luck with your birds. Ray

3757, I searched my peds. but found no reference to 6009, Tony would know if there is a link. I'm posting a picture of a Red Bar Self that is full brother to the hen.

Hey All, Thanks for the kind words but the credit is Tony's all I did was raise them. Crytalpalace, I plan on getting them back out as soon as possible, they were coming into the roll and showing promise. Val, My RUBY's have turned out to be great parents, I did not lose even one squab this year. Good luck with yours! Skylineloft,Ray, Red Chks are my absolute favorite but I love the blues also, and the blacks, and the (I like them all!) Classicpony,Jim, I am very happy with my young birds, I know you will be also, good luck with them.
Thanks to all, ain't it grand!

Thanks,JT and mcroller, Ralph they are very evenly tempered. Most are handtrained to the point that they will lay in my open hand and not try to escape. I am semi retired and have the time to spend with my birds, so each bird is handled at least once a day and sometime twice. The nest bound partner is touched even on the nest. Like Val, I can reach into a nest bowl with no fuss. I like to handle the birds but it also makes loft management a lot easier.
