Hi,
The look of Georges birds may well have changed over the years, so birds imported 20 years ago will look different to those of 10 years ago and to those he is breeding now.
I commented on the look of his birds (I thought they looked more 'showy' than they used to) and George said the rounder headed birds mostly come from his well known 48 cock. He told me that this bird had a large backskull and he passed some of this look onto his offspring. Obviously the trait was not instantly spead around to everything in his loft, but he did breed that cock on the bull system and many Masons today have that blood and his expression.
