these are just questions on how you got started to flying rollers and stuff:
who got you started on pigeons or rollers pigeons?
how old were you when you started to like birds?
what is your goal for roller pigeons?

Started at the ripe old age of 12 and have been going at it on and off ever since.My brother had pigeons so i guess he got me into it.My goal is to enjoy my birds as much as possible and hopefully compete someday(if the hawks let me!)

I got my first Rollers in 1974,at about 12 years old,and never got out of the hobby.

A friend of mine in New York City was the supers son he had about 300 pigeons up the roof.,Tumblers. Russian high flyer's ,Flights,Tipplers,
how old were you when you started to like birds?
I was about ten or 11-yrs young,

I want to have a working team of rollers that i can be proud of....birds that will make you say now that's a Birmingham Roller .help kids get involve here to keep[ them off the street..

Tou actually i have had 2 young kids come by and ask me if i would sell them some birds.Both times i brought them in and gave them some free birds to get started with and a little advice.I hope they stuck with it.

its a funny thing, My Uncle got me started, whats realy odd is he never has pigeons.
but I thank him for introducing me to this hobby.

I was 8 yrs (1973)
what is your goal for roller pigeons?
well my goal is... simple, breeding the best from what I have.

My kids have taken to the hobby
My youngest girl 5 yrs she can hold a breeder like a pro..
My son 9 yrs he is a thinker he likes the dynamics of the loft.
And there is the middle child, she is the bestower of names some examples: paco, cheep-cheep, snow.
I am sure some one else out side of my family will show an interest and I will hand out some birds

my brother in law steve turner and bill berry got me started in the hobbie and i was 14 years old and i like to start fly in compation again................donny james

oh, thats good.
i want to try to influence others too. i got my cousins into birds but they are still very young. some even asked me to give them some but there dad didnt want them to have some. but now he has a roller and some homers. me and my cousin is trying to explain to him to keep only the roller and i will give him some pairs. hope he understands.

Donny how you doing Health wise... seen you recover.. good to know you will compete again.. i once had tapes of you .Joe Roe and John Bender. I think Joe Marlette gave them to me .I do remember seeing you always with a video camera on hand..this is way back in 1999 or 80's..
