Steve / John ... I'm new to roller-pigeon.com but not to the hobby. During my teenage years I raised birds and belonged to the NBRC as well as a local Southern CA club. That was over 15 years ago. Most of my stuff was out of Bob Scott birds purchased directly from him when he lived in Calimesa.
I am now interested in getting back into the hobby along with my 5 year old son. I know he's a little on the young side and it's more for me but he has a severe medical condition and we want to make the most of the time we have. (Moderated)
Tony ... this site is awesome and is exactly what the hobby needs in this day and age. I commend you for your efforts and dedication.

Hector ... I probably visited Bob on 6 or 7 occasions when I was in my teens. I visited a few times with an acquaintence who knew him and I also made a few trips out there as I got older and was able to drive on my own. This was around the early nineties or so.
I have some pretty good memories of birds I got from Bob and may even still have one or two of his blue personalized 'Scott' bands somewhere. Most were red baldheads with some black and blue check badges thrown in the mix as well. I also remember one particular white self that was a little thing that Bob recommended. It's easy to sit back to and remember his huge kit flying for several hours, often out of sight ... good times. and Bob was quite a character. I wish he was still around.

No problem Hector. Do you still have birds from Bob? I remember that most of the stuff I got and bred produced birds on the deeper end (50 ft or so) but man they were a blur.
