alot of guys out there will tell you they have this line or that line of birds, i know roller people r some of the most truthful people in the world,;-D, but how can you really be sure that whats on a piece of paper is actually what you got? i guess my real question is how much stock do YOU put into pedigrees and these "paper" flyers?

Some use pedigrees for different reasons. They can be a usefull tool, that's how I see them anyway. Would you take a trip to a place youv'e never been without looking at a map? The map shows how to get where your trying to go.You can see several different ways to get to the same place. That's how I veiw pedigrees. You know if your breeding full brother/sister, mother/son or father/daughter. This helps you keep better records of what works and what doesn't work. Sure you can bred without them but they can make thing a little easier during breeding. If they are false then they are not worth the paper they where written on.Think about it, we all believe what is written in history books and none of us where here to know for sure how true the stories are.We just accept the facts as they are written.

A pedigree is only as good as the person who wrote it. Knowledge of the writer is key. Pedigrees are usually use to find key matings/a breeding tool. Thor
